Pique Newsmagazine has a rare opportunity for you — a talented, committed journalist — to cover world-class news as reporter and assistant editor, and work as a features editor in North America’s premier mountain resort.
You are passionate about news, you know what makes a compelling local story and how to craft it and present it, you have a proven track record of self-generating story ideas and demonstrable skill in managing other writers. You are a positive ambassador for your team and for your profession. You seek to engage and inform your community in whatever platform they want to use — print, online or mobile — and are an enthusiastic participant in social media. You also know the mechanics of newspaper layout and can drive InDesign and Photoshop skillfully and efficiently. Ideally you also have at least two years’ experience at the community media level as an assistant/acting editor, or four years covering news and writing features, but if everything we’ve asked for here applies to you except this, don’t let that stop you from applying.
